Terms of service

The agreement between you and UmbraVPN when you use this website, your account, or the UmbraVPN applications.

This is placeholder wording drafted for the website build. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and must be replaced with final legal language before launch. Last revised: draft, pending legal review.

01Agreement

By creating an UmbraVPN account or using the UmbraVPN applications you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

02Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account. You must provide an email address you control.

One account is for one person or household, within the device limit stated on your plan.

03Acceptable use

You may not use UmbraVPN for unlawful activity, to attack or disrupt others, or to abuse the service or its infrastructure. The acceptable use policy sets out details.

04Service availability

UmbraVPN is under active development. Features, locations and applications may change, and availability is not guaranteed. Planned maintenance is published on the service status page.

05Plans and payment

Plan prices, billing periods and device limits are shown before purchase. Payment processing is not enabled during development. Refunds are handled under the refund policy.

06Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the acceptable use policy. You can close your account at any time from your settings.

07Liability

The service is provided on an as-is basis to the extent permitted by law. Final limitation-of-liability wording will be supplied by qualified legal counsel.

08Changes

We will publish changes to these terms on this page and, for material changes, notify account holders.
